Unique in Romania – The Vida Lake
The Vida Lake, found right next to the Luncasprie village from the Dobreşti community, was first used in 1967. The funnel shaped spillway, which is unique in Romania, along with the beauty of the surrounding landscape, has made the Vida Lake one of the most famous tourist attractions from Bihor county. The water mirror that lies on six hectares and the forest that surrounds it create a fascinating scenery every season, thus attracting the lovers of photography. The exotic turquoise-like color of the water also attributes to the unique charm of the area. The impressive rocks that surround it, as well as the almost 300 caves unmarked, but ideal for the hiking of curious tourists, all complete the touristic value of these places, that are still little known.
The Vida Gorges and the refuge cave next to it are just a few of the reasons why one should go for a hike in these unexplored, fascinating and a little strange surroundings of the Vida Lake. Fishing, climbing and bicycle tours are only some of the activities available for all tourists, in this area with an almost unreal beauty.
